Help Strengthen Southwest Virginia’s Small Business Support Ecosystem

Strong small businesses benefit from strong connections. Across Southwest Virginia, organizations are working every day to help entrepreneurs start, grow, and succeed.

The Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) is continuing conversations with organizations across the region to better understand the small business support ecosystem and how we can contribute to its continued strength.

Your organization’s perspective matters. Your insights can help us identify opportunities to improve collaboration, strengthen connections, and ensure SBSD is a more effective partner in supporting the region’s small businesses.

How Your Feedback Will Be Used

We will use the insights gathered through this survey to better understand the strengths, needs, and opportunities within Southwest Virginia’s small business ecosystem.

Your feedback will help SBSD consider how we can:

  • Better connect with organizations serving small businesses
  • Strengthen collaboration and coordination across the region
  • Identify opportunities to complement existing resources and services
  • Better understand the needs of the small businesses you serve
  • Become a more effective partner in supporting Southwest Virginia’s entrepreneurs and small businesses

This survey is one part of our ongoing conversations with organizations across the region. Your input will help inform those conversations and help shape how SBSD works alongside its ecosystem partners.

What to Expect

The survey includes 29 questions and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete.

Questions focus on your organization’s role in the Southwest Virginia small business ecosystem, the businesses and entrepreneurs you serve, existing resources and partnerships, and opportunities to strengthen support across the region.

There are no right or wrong answers. We want to hear what you’re seeing, what’s working, where gaps may exist, and where you see opportunities for stronger collaboration.

Thank You for Sharing Your Perspective

SBSD recognizes that no single organization can meet every need of a region’s small businesses. Stronger outcomes come from organizations working together, sharing knowledge, and building connections.

Thank you for taking the time to share your organization’s perspective and for the work you do to support Southwest Virginia’s small business community.

Together, we can help build a stronger, more connected small business ecosystem across Southwest Virginia.
